Atama Furniture collaborated with AIM Australia and Venues NSW to supply a variety of high-quality, customised furniture to the premium $850M, 42,000-seat Sydney Football Stadium complex in Moore Park. This project, completed in June 2022, involved providing large mobile servery units, task chairs, meeting chairs, tables, sofas, workbenches, and conference chairs for more than 50 corporate suites, back-of-house areas, and stadium conference facilities.

Atama Furniture accelerated the preparation of production drawings, manufacturing, and shipping to meet a tight deadline, and the assembly and installation took place over two weeks, delivering all items on time and within budget with no project variations. The high-end finishes and contemporary design of the furniture helped create some of the best sporting corporate areas in Australia.

Designing furniture for medical and healthcare environments requires a distinct approach compared to other industries. In healthcare, prioritising infection control and safety is paramount, with these considerations taking precedence over all other design elements.

We were privileged to supply loose furniture items for the Medifit Sky Orthodontics clinic in Wanneroo, WA, working closely with the Medifit team to deliver a range of soft seating solutions for the front waiting area, meeting rooms, and treatment spaces.

Government Furniture / CUA We also had the opportunity to contribute to the Middle Swan Residential Care facility, a 120-bed aged care home developed by Masonic Care WA. This facility offers expert care and accommodation for elderly Western Australians in Perth’s eastern suburbs. Aged care facilities require a thoughtful approach to design, balancing comfort, safety, and accessibility. We provided furniture that not only supports the physical and mental well-being of residents but also creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere—helping to make them feel at home.

In addition to healthcare and aged care, Atama has extensive experience creating high-quality furniture for educational environments. We’ve delivered premium solutions to renowned institutions such as Campus Perth & Hostel G. Atama’s educational furniture is designed with a deep understanding of how the physical learning environment influences intellectual development.

Our work at Campus Perth, involved supplying both built-in and loose furniture, along with FF&E for eight floors of common areas. The project also included the supply and installation of retro-fitted skirting, kitchen lockers, mattresses, curtains, rubbish disposal units, electrical integration, and stencil painting, showcasing our wide range of capabilities.

This complex project required six months of contract negotiations, extensive manufacturer coordination, the preparation of over 1,000 manufacturing drawings, and the development of prototype samples. The six-month installation process involved more than 60 x 40’ container loads of FF & E weighing over 500 tonnes, and comprising more than 40,000 pieces of furniture.
